The Lanikai Homes neighborhood is most entirely comprised of Luxury Homes. This exclusive neighborhood is conveniently located next to Kailua and is popular amongst the wealthy and famous including Hollywood stars with vacation homes. Located on the Windward side the area is a little wetter and as a result also lusher with tropical vegetation. As with Kailua, it has a real beach town feel and a plethora of shopping and dining options (in Kailua) along with having some of the most beautiful stretch of beaches on Oahu protected by outer reefs making the ocean here the calmest on Oahu (very little or no surf). It is also not so far a drive to downtown, about 30 minutes away. People who really love Kailua and the exclusive Lanikai would never want to live anywhere else on Oahu.
